Ingredients
- 1 pint (2 cups) raspberries
- 2 cups cut strawberries
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons fresh-squeezed orange juice
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon orange rind, grated
Preparation
Step 1
Combine 1 cup fresh raspberries and 1 cup fresh strawberries with 3/4 cup sugar in pan. Simmer on low heat until sugar is melted and mixture is very liquid, about 5 minutes.
Combine orangse juice and water in a bowl. Add to pan with berries. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil and is clear and thick.
Pour hot mixture into a large bowl. Cool until warm and fold in remaining 2 cups of berries and orange zest. Cool overnight in refrigerator.
