Shrimp Layered

"This is an easy, last-minute pot-luck dish that everybody will love and only you know how "hard" it was to make." — BMORRILL

I used pre-packaged frozen, already peeled shrimp with the tails still on, and it took no time at all to put together. IDEAL for someone who doesn't cook, but wants to bring a dish! Also, you can use canned tiny shrimp you can get more flavor and sooooo easy. Do not put the crackers into the cream cheese. Just have them separate then they will not get soggy.

Ingredients

  • Original recipe makes 10 serving
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar cocktail sauce
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 (10 ounce) package thin wheat crackers

Preparation

Step 1

1.On a large dinner plate, spread cream cheese to edge of plate. The cheese should be spread to about a 1/4 inch to 1/3 inch thickness. Pour cocktail sauce in center of plate, leaving a 1-inch ring around the edge of cream cheese. Make a pile of the shrimp by covering the cocktail sauce.
2.Arrange crackers by sticking them standing up into the cream cheese ring around the edge. Place them tight like dominos around the entire plate
