Charlie's Banana Foster

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c butter, 1 c brown sugar, 1 oz crème de banana liqueur, 6 ripe bananas, 1/4 c rum, 6 scoops vanilla ice cream.

Preparation

Step 1

Melt the butter in a pan. Add the brown sugar and thoroughly blend with the butter. Add crème de banana and blend it into a sauce. Peel and quarter the bananas. Fry the bananas in the butter sauce. When bananas are slightly softened, flame with the rum. Spoon banana and some of the sauce over each scoop of ice cream. Serves 6
