Ingredients
- 2 pounds (6 medium) white potatoes
- 1/3-1/2 cup milk, heated
- 1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Wash and pure potatoes. Leave whole or cut in half. Heat 1 inch salted water to boiling. Ad dpotatoes. Cover and heat to boiling. Cook until tender: whole= 30-35 minutes, pieces 20-25 minutes.
Mash potatoes until no lumps remain. Beat in heated milk in small amounts. Add butter, salt and pepper; beat vigorously until light and fluffy.
