Buttery Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 16 C Popped Corn
  • 1 C Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 C Dark Corn Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 C Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Place popped corn in a large paper bag.

In a large, microwave safe bowl, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt. Microwave 1-2 minutes or until mixture bubbles. Microwave 3 minutes, stirring after each minute.

Add soda and vanilla. Stir well (mixture will foam up). Pour mixture over popcorn in paper bag. Shake very well! Fold bag down and microwave 1 minute. Shake well. Microwave 30 seconds. Shake well. Microwave 30 seconds, shake well and pour onto 2 cookie sheets. Let cool. Store in airtight container.
