Orange French Toast

Ingredients

  • 8 slices day old bread
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 c orange juice
  • 14 t salt
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • 3 c cornflakes, crushed finely
  • Butter
  • Sauce
  • 14 c frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/4 c butter

Preparation

Step 1

Remove crusts from bread and cut into circles. Mix beaten eggs with orange juice, salt and pepper. Dip bread into egg mixture, then into crushed corn flakes. Heat butter in skillet. Cook over medium heat 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. To make sauce, mix ingredients will and heat. do not boil. Serve hot over French toast.
