Cranberry Brisket

Ingredients

  • 1 piece brisket
  • 4 cans jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 envelope powdered onion soup mix
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • water to cover

Preparation

Step 1

1) Preheat over to 375°

2) Place brisket in pyrex pan covered in foil on a cookie sheet with a lip

3) Empty cans of cranberry sauce onto brisket and cut into small pieces

4) Pour the envelope of onion soup mix onto cranberry sauce and mix slightly

5) Pour orange juice over the meat and cover with water, if necessary

6) Cover the pan with foil. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Turn down to 350° for one hour. Turn down to 325° for two hours.

7) Remove from oven and place in sealed container to cool overnight.

8) Cut brisket thin agains the grain.

9) When ready to serve, place brisket and sauce in slow cooker for three to four hours.
