Creole Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 5 strips of bacon, chopped fine
  • 1 head of cabbage, sliced julienne
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seed, toasted
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 ounces vinegar
  • 2 ounces white wine
  • 2 ounces gin

Preparation

Step 1

Directions:

Place all ingredients into large stockpot. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer.
Cook 40 minutes per pound, or until meat is tender.
