Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz) package Pillsbury Pie Crusts
- 6 cups thinly sliced, peeled Granny Smith Apples
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare pie crust according to package directions for two-crust pie using 9 inch pie pan. Heat oven to 425 degrees.
In large bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and lemon juice; mix lightly. Spoon into pie crust lined pan. Place second crust over filling. Fold edge of top crust under bottom crust. Flute edge; cut slits in several places. Bake at 425 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
