Ingredients
- 1 lb bulk italian sausage
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 - 15 oz can whole tomatoes, broken up, undrained
- 2- 8 oz cans tomato paste
- 1- 4 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp basil leaves
- 1/4 tsp oregano leaves
- 1/3 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 - 13.25 oz pkg whole wheat penne rigate
- 2 tbsp. margarine
Preparation
Step 1
In large skillet, cook sausage and onion, drain. Add next 8 ingredients. Simmer 15 minutes. Cook penne rigate according to package instructions, drain. Toss with margarine. Serve sauce over hot cooked pasta.
