Ingredients
- 24-32 Large Mushroom caps, washed
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion , diced
- 3 oz grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chopped parsley
- Shredded Parmesan
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
1.With a tsp, carefully hollow out and scrape mushrooms, reserve scrapings and stems. Chop the stems
2.In medium skillet, brown sausage, onion and mushroom scrapping and stems. Drain and return to skillet to heat. Add parmesan cheese, crumbs, garlic and parsley to pan, mix well. Remove from heat.
3. Stuff mushrooms with cooked mixture, rounding slightly
4. Place on sheet pan and bake approximately 15 minutes
5. Sprinkle with shredded parmesan and serve
Note- If made ahead, refrigerate til ready to cook
