Chinese Style Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup water
  • 1 1/3 cup minute rice
  • 3 T butter or margarine
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 2-3 T soy suace

Preparation

Step 1

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in sauce, stir in rice.

Remove from heat; cover and let stand 5 minutes

Meanwhile cook egg in butter in 10-inch skillet until set

Add onion and the rice; cook and stir over medium heat until rice and onion are lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Combine remaining water and soy sauce; stir into rice
