Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 Cans Campbell's Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (fat free)
  • 1 Cup Milk (skim)
  • 2 teaspoons Soy Sauce (lite)
  • 1/4 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 8 Cups Green Beans (36 ounces)
  • 2 2/3 Cups French's French Fried Onions
  • 1 lb Bacon
  • 1 large Onion diced and sauteed
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 Cup slivered almonds - toatsed

Preparation

Step 1

1) Fry bacon, crumble

2) Sautee diced onions and garlic in bacon grease

3) Toast slivered almonds in oven at 350 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes.

4) Stir the bacon, onion, garlic, soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, beans and 1 1/3 cups French's onions.

5) For cheese lovers stir in 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Sprinkle with additional 1/2 cheddar cheese when adding the remaining onions.

6) Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes or until the bean mixture is hot and bubbling. Stir the bean mixture. Sprinkle with remaining onions.

7) Bake for 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.

Tip: Use 2 bags (16 to 20 ounces each) frozen green beans, 4 packages (9 ounces each) frozen green beans, 4 cans (about 16 ounces rach) green beans or about 3 pounds fresh green beans for this recipe.
