- 2 pounds fresh asparagus
- 4 cups water
- 1 (2-ounce) package slivered almonds
- 1 teaspoon margarine

Directions
1. Wash fresh asparagus and snap off tough stem ends.
2. Pour water in saucepan; bring to boil over medium heat.
3. Place fresh asparagus in steamer inset; place over boiling water.
4. Cover; steam 4-5 minutes or until barely tender.
5. In small skillet, melt margarine over low heat.
6. Add almonds; sauté.
7. Top fresh asparagus with sautéed almonds before serving.
