Wilted Spinach Salad

Ingredients

  • Mix:
  • 4 slices bacon, fry till crispy, take out of pan and crumble
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch

Preparation

Step 1

Add mixture to the bacon grease; stir and cook over low heat until thickened. Pour hot dressing over freshly washed and dried spinach.

Just before serving, sprinkle bacon crumbles over salad.

Optional toppings:

chopped green onion
chopped hard boiled eggs
chopped tomatoes
chopped cucumbers
