Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white flour
  • 8 gr pkg quick rise instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Stir 2 tbsp flour with 1/2 cup warm water and yeast in a large bowl.
Let stand until cloudy and bubbly ( about 5 min)
Stir in remaining flour, 1/2 cup more warm water, oil and salt.
Stir until dough starts to form a ball.
Transfer to a floured surface.
Knead until smooth- 2-3 min.
Lightly spray same bowl with oil and return dough to bowl.
cover with a towel and let rise until doubled in size.

OPTIONS
1. PIZZA
divide dough into 4 pieces and roll into 8"circles.
add favorite pizza toppings and bake at 425 for 15
minutes.
2. TWO BITE GARLIC ROLLS
Divide dough in half.
roll each portion into a 10x16 rectangle.
spread with garlic butter.
roll dough into a log.
cut each log into 12 slices
Lay cut side down into a mini muffin pan.
Brush with olive oil
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes
3. FOCACCIA
Add 1 tsp oregano, thyme, parsley and garlic
powder when kneading the dough.
Pat dough into a 8x8 very well greased baking dish.
Place 1/2 an olive in dimples made in crust.
Brush with olive oil.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
4. CALZONES
divide dough into 4 equal parts,
roll each piece into an 8"circle.
fill with pizza toppings
fold in half and press edges.
brush tops with oil.
bake at 425 for 15 minutes.
