Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 2 tbsp instant mashed potato flakes
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 (15 oz) package refrigerated pie crusts
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400.
Saute onion in hot oil over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute. Add beef; cook, stirring often, til browned. Drain, cool and set aside. Stir together potato flakes and 1/4 cup hot water til smooth. Add potato, cinnamon and next 3 ingredients to beef mixture; stir til blended.
Roll pie crusts into 12-inch circles; cut each crust into 6 (4-inch) circles. Spoon 1 rounded tbsp of beef mixture onto half of each circle. Moisten edges with water; fold over filling, pressing edges to seal.
Bake on ungreased baking sheets for 15 minutes or til lightly browned.
