Raspberry-Coconut Squares

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 16-oz. raspberry jam

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together all ingredients except jam; press three-quarters of mixture into a greased 13 inch x 9 inch baking pan. Spread jam almost to the edges; drop remaining butter mixture by teaspoons over jam. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes; cool and cut into squares. Makes about 3 dozen.
