PORTUGUESE BEAN SOUP

Ingredients

  • 2-3 ham hocks
  • 1-2 cups of leftover ham
  • 1-2 Onions to your taste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 Portuguese sausage (or chorizo)
  • 3 cans of bean soup
  • 3 carrots cut into bite sized pieces
  • 3 potatoes cut into 1 inch pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Cover ham hocks ham, onions and bay leaf with water and let it cook for 2 hours. Add Portuguese sausage, beans soup, carrots and potatoes. Cook until the veggies are tender, about 20 minutes.
