Water-Chestnut Bacon Wraps

Ingredients

  • 2 cans whole water chestnuts
  • 1 lb bacon, cut into 3rds
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 6 T brown sugar
  • 2 T vinegar
  • 2 T prepared mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Cut some of the larger chestnuts in half, and wrap each with bacon.
Spear with toothpick
Place on a rack in broiler at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
Remove from oven
Place into shallow casserole
Combine parts into sauce
Pour over chestnuts and bacon

Cook for 30 more minutes
