BEEF GOULASH

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of stewing beef -
  • 1 tsp red paprika
  • 2 parsnips, cut in half
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 5 medium potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 5 to 6 whole allspice
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 5 carrots, cut in half
  • 1 onion

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion in oil and add paprika, and stir. Then add meat and let steam for a while, stirring a few times. Add a pinch of pepper, 1 tbsp flour and stir, fill pot with water and add carrots, parsley and tomato, and cook. When half soft add potatoes and cook until potatoes are almost soft. Then make dumplings and add to soup. Cook for 5 min.
Dumplings : 2 cups flour, salt, 1 egg, and water, mix to make a soft dough Then drop into soup using a level tablespoon full at a time.
