Ingredients
- 1 C Cranberries
- 1/2 C of sugar
- 2 TBsp of sugar
- 2 1/3 C flour
- 2 C oats
- 1/2 C of packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 C margarine or butter, melted
- 1 1/2 C dates chopped
- 3/4 C chopped walnuts
- 1 C caramel ice cream topping
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350
In bowl, combine cranberries and the 2 TBsp of sugar.
In separate bowl, combine 2 C flour, oats, remaining 1/2 sugar, brown sugar, and baking soda. Add margarine and mix well. Reserve 1 C crumb mixture. Press remaining mixture firmly on bottom of 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake 15 min. Sprinkle dates, walnuts, and cranberry mixture over crust. Mix caramel topping and remaining 1/3 C of flour and spoon over fruit and nuts. Top with reserved 1 C of crumbs mixture. Bake 350 for 20 min. or until lightly brown. Cool. Cut into bars.
