Sesame Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 2 tsp sesame seed
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Preparation

Step 1

1) In 2-qt saucepan, heat 1 inch water to boiling.
2) Add beans. Boil uncovered 5 minutes.
3) Cover; boil 3-5 minutes longer or until crisp-tender.
4) In ungreased 8" skillet, heat sesame seed over medium-low heat 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until browning begins, then stirring constantly until golden brown.
5) Stir in remaining ingredients, cook until thoroughly heated.
6) Drain beans. Pour sauce over beans, toss until evenly coated.
