RUM BALLS

  • 2 cups finely crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 light rum (optional)
  • Powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1. Line an air tight container with wax paper, set aside
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine wafers, sugar and walnuts. Add butter and rum. Stir until well blended (mixture will be crumbly)
3. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Place on un-greased cookie sheets. Let stand for an hour then reroll in powdered sugar. Place in container. Store in the refrigerator.
