Homemade chocolate sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 sq of bitter chocolate, 1 oz.
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 1/3 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbs light Karo syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Melt together the chocolate and butter gradually add water to chocolate and butter; stir until dissolved. Add sugar and syrup; boil gently 5 minutes then add vanilla and salt. Boil slowly. No more no less. If you boil too hard it will crystallize. Serve over your favorite ice cream.
