Healthy breakfast sausage made with ground turkey - YUM!

Ingredients
- 2 lb ground turkey breast
- 1-1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
- 2 tsp finely chopped fresh sage leaves
- 2 tsp finely chopped fresh thyme leaves
- 1/2 tsp finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves
- 2 tsp brown sugar substitute
- 1 Tbsp Splenda
- 1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (to taste)
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (to taste)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 3 Tbsp no sugar added (NSA) applesauce
- Up to 1/4 cup NSA chicken broth, as needed
Preparation
Step 1
Combine ground turkey with all other ingredients and chill for at least 1 hour and up to 24 hours.
Form into patties, about 2.75 ounces for a cooked 2 ounce patty
Cook over moderate heat until cooked thoroughly, about 3 minutes per side. DO NOT OVERCOOK.
