Blackberry Cobbler

The batter for the topping goes in the bottom of the pan with the fruit on top Like magic, this blackberry cobbler rights itself into a golden dessert.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups blackberries
- 2 cups boiling water
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream 1 cup sugar with butter. Add flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Mix well.
Pour into 12 by 8 by 2-inch baking dish.
Pour blackberries over batter. Pour boiling water over top.
Bake 50 minutes until golden brown.
