Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. fresh green beans,cleaned with ends snipped
  • 3 strips *Drier's* bacon
  • 3 T. sugar
  • 2 T. white vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

Put beans in pan with water just to cover. Slowly simmer the beans until done. Mean while, cut bacon in one inch strips and fry until almost done,remove bacon and reduce heat add the vinegar and sugar to the bacon drippings and cook until sugar is desolved. Drain beans and add the sugar mixture along with the bacon and serve.
