Ingredients
- 2 beef tenderloin steaks (8 oz ea)
- 3 Tbsp butter, divided
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup merlot
- 2 Tbsp heavy whipping cream
- 1/8 tsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
In small skillet, cook steaks in 1 Tbsp butter and oil over med heat for 4-6 min on each side til meat reaches desired doneness (med thermometer should reach 160)
In same skillet, add wine, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan.
Bring to boil; cook until liquid reduced to 1/4 cup
Add cream, salt and remaining butter; bring to boil
Cook and stir 1-2 min or until slightly thickened and butter is melted
Serve with steaks
