Cobbler

Ingredients

  • COBBLER
  • 6 C fruit
  • 1.25 C sugar
  • 1/4 C water
  • 4 t cornstarch
  • TOPPING
  • 1 C flour
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 3 T butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 T milk

Preparation

Step 1

In pan cook fruit, sugar, water and cornstarch until thick. Pour fruit mixture into 8x8 inch pan.

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon. Cut in butter. Mix beaten egg and milk together, then add to flour mixture. Drop chunks on top of the fruit.

Bake for 25 minutes at 400 degrees.
