Italian Meat Sauce - Crockpot Style

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. hot Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cans tomato paste (6 oz. each)
  • 3 cans tomato sauce (8 oz. each)
  • 1 - 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 Tbsp. dried basil
  • 1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano

Preparation

Step 1

With wooden spoon, break meat and sausage into small piece in Slow Cooker.
Add remaining ingredients and stir until mixed.
Cover.
Turn heat to LOW; cook 10 to 12 hours.
Serve over hot cooked spaghetti.
Extra sauce may be frozen.
