Strawberry Shortcut Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. small marshmallows
  • 2 c. frozen strawberries in syrup, 2 10oz. Pkg.
  • 1 pkg. strawberry jello (3 oz)
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Generously butter bottom only of 9x13 pan. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom. Thoroughly combine completely thawed strawberries and syrup with dry jello and set aside until last. Make a cake batter of remaining ingredients mixing in order given, beating well. Pour batter over marshmallows in prepared pan. Spoon strawberry mixture over batter. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Serve warm or cool with cool whip.
