Peanut Butter Cake

  • Frosting:
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 1/3 c sugar
  • 1 T baking powder
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c smooth peanut butter
  • 1 c milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3/4 c crunchy peanut butter
  • 2 c powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two 8 or 9 inch round cake pans. In large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt mix well. Add oil and peanut butter to dry ingredients. Add2/3c milk and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Add remaining 1/3c milk and eggs and beat for 2 more minutes. Pour equally into pans and bake 20-25 minutes. Cool on wire racks for 10 minutes and remove from pans.
Frosting:
Cream together butter and peanut butter. Gradually beat in powdered sugar alternately with milk until spreadable.
Spread between layers and on top and sides if you have enough.
