Green Beans with Bacon and Pecans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 4 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup pecans, coarsley chopped
  • 1 tbs butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Bring a large pot with salted water to boil.
Add beans.
Cook 2-3 minutes until crisp tender.
Drain; rinse under cool water. Drain again.
Cook bacon in skillet until crisp.
Drain on a paper towel.
Discard drippings. .
Add pecans to skillet; toast.
To serve: Heat butter in skillet.
Add beans, bacon and pecans; cook.
Tossing 1-3 minutes to heat through.
