Bacon-Cheddar Pinwheels

Ingredients

  • 2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent-roll dough
  • 3/4 cup preshredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) bagged crumbled bacon
  • 1/2 cup prechopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Separate the dough into 8 rectangles. Using your fingertips, push together the perforations in each rectangle to seal them up. Scatter on the cheese, bacon, onion, and thyme. Roll up each rectangle, starting at the short end. Cut each crosswise into 4 slices. Place the slices, cut side down, on a baking sheet and flatten slightly. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until puffed
and golden.
