Ingredients

  • 3 - 3-1/2 lb boneless chuck
  • 1 envelope Onion soup mix
  • 2-1/2 C. water
  • 4 potatoes, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 4 carrots cut into pieces
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons flour

Preparation

Step 1

Brown the roast. Add onion soup mix blended with 2 cups of water. Simmer, covered, turning occasionally, 2 hours. Add vegetables and cook an additional 30 minutes or until veggies and meat are tender. Remove roast and veggies. Blend remaining 1/2 cup water with flour; stir into pan, bring to boil, then simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
