BROWNIE COOKIES

  • 1/4 cup butter {2oz/56.5g}
  • 2 {1oz} squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 1.5 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided {9oz}
  • 3/4 cups all-purpose flour {3.75oz}
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cups sugar {5.25oz}
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F

Combine butter, unsweetened chocolate and 4½ ounces chocolate chips in a large heavy saucepan. Cook over low-heat, stirring constantly, until butter and chocolate melt; let cool.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl, set aside.

Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla at med-speed with an electric mixer. Gradually add dry ingredients to egg mixture, beating well. Then add the chocolate mixture and beat well. Stir in remaining 4½ ounces chocolate chips. Scoop dough onto baking sheets 1”apart. Bake 10 minutes. Cool slightly on baking sheets; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
