Ingredients
- 1 Large whole chicken
- Butter or margarine
- McCormick Season All seasoned salt
Preparation
Step 1
Spray vertical roaster with non-stick spray
Rub whole chicken with melted margarine
Put some pats on margarine under the skin and neck cavity
Sprinkle and rub McCormick Season All salt generously over whole chicken
Place chicken on vertical roaster so that top ring
comes through neck cavity (with the legs at the bottom)
Set in pan and add 1/2 cup of water to pan. (should be 1/8 to 1/4" deep)
Sear chicken at 450 degrees for 15 minutes
Reduce heat to 350 degrees and cook for 15-18 minutes per pound
Optional: For extra crisp ~ finish poultry at 450 degrees during finalS-tO minutes of cooking time.
