Gayle Bartal's Coffee Cake Recipe

This is a recipe that my sister has made many times. She got it from her mother-in-law, Gayle Bartal. I think it originated from a German Cookbook. Very simple but very good!!

Ingredients
- 2 C flour
- 1 1/2 C sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 stick butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 C milk 1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients. Cut butter into dry ingredients.
Reserve 1/2 C of dry ingredients for topping, set aside.
Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients. Place in greased 9 x 9 " pan. Sprinkle with reserved dry mixture. Bake at 350 for 20-30 min. or until toothepick inserted comes out clean.
