  • 3/4 CUP FLOUR
  • 1/4 TEAS. BAKING SODA
  • 1/4 TEAS. SALT
  • 1/3 CUP BUTTER
  • 3/4 CUP SUGAR
  • 2 TABS. WATER
  • ONE 12 OZ. BAG CHIPS (DIVIDED
  • 1 TEAS. VANILLA
  • 2 EGGS
  • 1/2 CUP CHOPPED NUTS (OPTIONAL)

Preparation

Step 1

PREHEAT OVEN TO 325*
IN A SMALL BOWL, COMBINE FLOUR, SODA, AND SALT,SET ASIDE.
IN SMALL PAN, COMBINE BUTTER,SUGAR AND WATER, BRING TO BOIL. REMOVE FROM HEAT. ADD 1 CUP CHIPS AND VANILLA EXTRACT. STIR UNTIL MELTED AND MIXTURE IS SMOOTH. TRANSFER TO LARGE BOWL. ADD EGGS, ONE AT A TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. GRADUALLY BLEND IN FLOUR MIXUTRE. STIR IN REMAINING CHIPS AND NUTS. STREAD INTO GREASED 9" SQUARE BAKING PAN.

BAKE FOR 30-35 MINUTES.
COOL COMPLETELY.
