This is a recipe from Aunt Bobbie, her family makes them every Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 3 pints Whipping Cream
  • 4 cups Sugar
  • 2 cups Dark Karo Syrup
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • pinch of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix 1 pt whipping cream, sugar, Karo, vanilla and salt in a pan on the stove. Cook till firm ball (234 degrees) then add 1 more pint whipping cream and cook that to 234 then add 3rd pint and bring temp to 244 degrees. Add nuts and put in a greased pan, let stand until cold. Cut in to squares and wrap.
Nuts are optional.
