Asparagus & Ham Egg Bake (Strata)

Ingredients

  • 6 slices white bread, remove crusts and butter
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms
  • 1 lb. bacon(fried and crumbled) or diced ham
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 6 eggs
  • 1-1/2 tsp. mustard
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 cups swiss cheese-grated
  • 2 tbsp. parsly
  • 1 1/2 tsp flour
  • 2 cups Half & Half
  • Asparagus or Broccoli

Preparation

Step 1

Place bread in a 9x13" pan, buttered side down. Saute' mushrooms and onion in butter, sprinkle over the bread.
Par-boil Asparagus 1 min. spread ham, cheese and asparagus evenly over bread. Sprinkle with flour. Mix eggs, cream, mustard and spices. Pour over top and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. Bake at 350 degrees.
