Fish In Beer Batter

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t dried dill
  • 3/4 cup flat beer
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-1/2 to 2 lbs. skinless fish fillets, cut into chunks
  • vegetable oil for deep frying

Method:

In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder, and dill. Add beer, milk, and eggs; mix well.

Place fish fillets in batter mixture, coat well, and let stand for 15 minutes.

Heat deep fryer to 375˚F. Place fish in hot oil and fry until golden brown. Cook fish in batches to maintain oil temperature. Serve with tartar sauce and slices of lemon.
