Ingredients
- 2 6 1/2 oz. cans minced clams
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 2 c. diced potatoes
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1 qt. half and half
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Drain juice from clams and pour clams over cut vegetables in medium saucepan. Add enough water to cover and simmer, covered, over medium heat until potatoes are tender. About 20 minutes. Meanwhile, melt butter, whisk in flour and blend until bubbly. And half and half and stir well. Add undrained vegetables and clams. Season with salt, pepper and sugar. Heat through.
