Ingredients
- Sweet & Salty Salmon Rub:
- 1 Untreated cedar or alder plank
- 1 1 1/2 lbs salmon fillet
- 3 Tbsp Sweet & Salty Salmon Rub
- lemon slices
- chopped green onions
- 1/3 C. light brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp kosher salt
- 2 Tbsp paprika
- 2 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 Tbsp ground coriander
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp celery seeds
- 1 tsp coarsly ground black pepper
- makes 1 cup. Store in Airtight container.
Preparation
Step 1
1) Soak plank in water for at least 30 min.
2) Remove pin bones from Salmon if necessary, and coat fish evenly with Sweet & Salty Salmon Rub. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and chill until ready to grill.
3) Drain plank and grill over medium-high heat (350-400) for 3 min or until grill marks appear. Remove from grill. Place salmon, skin side down, on heated side of plank. Top with lemon slices.
4) Place planked salmon on grill, cover, and grill for 20 min or until disired doneness.
(Check occasionally to make sure edges of plank don't ignite)
