Ingredients
- 29 ounce can of garbanzo beans (chick peas), rinsed and drained
- 4 ounce can of fire roasted green chiles
- 2 small shallots, peeled and halved
- Juice from 1 lime
- 2 – 3 tablespoons of cilantro leaves
- 1 teaspoon ancho chili powder
- Kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Pulse until the all of the ingredients are incorporated and the mixture is smooth. Adjust seasoning, and garnish with chopped tomato and additional cilantro, if desired. Serve with baked tortilla or pita chips.
