Cheesy Broccoli Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 lb. Velveeta, cubed
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, cooked and drained
  • Dash of pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In a 2 quart saucepan, cook onions in margarine until tender. Add remaining ingredients; stir over low heat until cheese is melted and mixture is hot. May top each serving with toasted slivered almonds.

Variations: Substitute frozen chopped spinach, cauliflower or asparagus for broccoli.
