Ziti (Lasagna) by Janey Brashier

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Davinci ziti noodle (can use Rigatoni)
  • 2 1/2 jars Prego (2 lg, 1 sm)
  • 15 oz. ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz. grated mozzarella
  • 12 oz. sliced mozzarella
  • Parmesan cheese
  • garlic powder
  • oregano
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1-2 lb. ground meat

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat (with green peppers and onions, optional) and drain. Add Prego. Cook noodles 10 minutes and drain. Mix ricotta, half of grated mozzarella, 3-4 shakes oregano, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Add noodles a little at a time to cheese mixture. In large oblong pyrex dish - put a scant layer of meat sauce. Layer noodles, parmesan, meat, sliced mozzarella and repeat. Top with meat sauce, grated mozzarella and parmesan. Bake covered at 350º for 30 minutes.
