Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 can Cherry pie filling
- Powdered Sugar to dust top of cake
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together:
Butter and Sugar
Eggs and Almond Extract
Flour and Baking Powder
Mix until smooth
Butter pan, put mixture in pan. Spoon the pie filling into the cake, in 16 spots, spacing 4 spoonfuls evenly in each direction.
Bake at 350* for 45 minutes or until brown.
Dust with powdered sugar
