Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/8 tsp. ginger
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 Tbs. finely crushed lemon drop candies
Preparation
Step 1
allow egg whites to stand at room temp. for 30 min.
preheat oven to 325
line 2 large cookie sheets with foil or parchment
in med. mixing bowl, combine egg whites, vanilla. cream of tartar, and ginger
beat on med. until stiff peaks form
gently fold in candy
spoon into decorating bag fitted with 1/2" round tip
pipe into 1 1/2" tear drop or star shapes 2" apart
bake both sheets on separate racks 10-15 min.
turn off oven and let cookies to wire rack and cool completely
place in layers separated by waxed paper in air tight container, cover, store at room temp. for up to 3 days
